Good hearted donors have built two sets of classrooms at schools in Darkha, Nepal.  However, providing teaching space is just one part of the puzzle.  Teachers must also be hired to educate the students that will inhabit the classroom.

In Nepal, teachers are government employees.  However, the government is not responsive in a timely manner when a village has an increase in population and more children will be attending school.  Generally, the approach is for the village to build extra classrooms, hire their own teachers, and then petition the government to pay for the teachers.  The process can take years.
